Persistent Matters in my Head

There are several vague concerns in my head these days....

1.) External hard drive for my Toshiba Notebook.
I was thinking of buying the Western Digital 400G or something

2.) The Swan Lake Ballet Show.
It is taking place on May 10 in Dubai and May 11 in Abu Dhabi. Sarah, Mayze and I were thinking of going.

3.) The Annual International Jazz Festival.
Beach Rotana is hosting this event this coming 27 & 28 April. I don't know if I should go, but who knows?

4.) Jennifer Lopez Concert daw o!
May 25. J.Lo who? Djahan has been asking me to buy ticket but I am not really that keen on going.

5.)IMac, IBook, Ipod.......
I like that 12inch IBook. I do not know if I should get it or not but it seems like if you get the Ibook, you need the Ipod and the IMac and and and... Hainaku

I just uploaded this when I read the other things I need to do...

6.) Get that damn facial or forget about it.

7.) Order the coffee green beans and ship it to Phils.

8.) Renew driving license learners. Darn. I really think its easier to get a visa for Europe and US than it is to get a driver's license here.

9.) Have your long black pants seamed to fit your height.

10.) See Angela

11.) Check that room in Le Royal Meridien

12.) Swim, gym, or something. Just lose that heavy 10 kilos off.

13.) Climb the wall. Soon please

14.) Get that sofa bed from Ikea. And where will I put it??

15.) Clean your flat.

A Musical Week

The Robbie Williams paved the way for the musical trysts these days.

Last night I went to watch the British Philharmonic Orchestra play at the Cultural Center amphitheater. It was conducted by Mastro Roderick Dunk. There was also a guy who was doing a lead flute. It was good. Although there are moments when Mozart's beat makes me feel drowsy it was a lovely night to spend time on. The second song they played was a bit melancholic. Others were bubbly. The music they played were mostly familiar to me considering they were played a lot of times either at home or while I was somewhere.

I would not mind being taken on a date for an evening of opera or concert.

I have seen the Philharmonic Orchestra of Rome a few years back and there was a lady who sang. She was splendid.

Tonight I hope to watch the Russian violinist Anastacia Khitruk & Swedish pianist Daniel Propper at the Cultural Foundation again.

The thing about these types of concerts is that it gives me a sense of being able to try to understand the understated message in every song. Although it actually feels funny going to watch operas ALONE, the songs actually get you in tune with yourself without having to think of anybody else. I am not sure if you understand what I mean, but I just feel like I am more focused when I sit there and listen and feel every rise and low of the music.

Yes, all in all it was a wonderful night. Tonight again perhaps?
