Losing Fat

I am seriously thinking about losing weight these days. Gone were the times when I could actually just gorge down anything down my throat as long as my palate desires it and not gain an ounce of fat in my body. But I was active then, always dancing at night, sleeping late, worrying about so many things. Fat couldn't catch up with me. Now, they have revolted against me and have appeared everywhere on my body. My pants don't fit me, my old skirts don't fit me, I don't fit me anymore too!!

So I have gone swimming twice in the last week and a half. Gone a bit of walking with Anna. I have decided not to use my stationary bike anymore. It is the worse thing I have done to myself. My legs have gotten bigger and my hips too have gotten so huge. Yuck. And do you know that with biking, you only lose 25 calories per mile?? Ew. That screen telling me I was losing 100 calories in around 10 minutes was almost a lie. Well, at least I found out earlier. Now I will concentrate on two things only to get rid of my fat fast. Jumping rope and swimming. These two are actually the best things that I can do and I like them both too!! I found this website that gives me calorie losing schedule. So I checked jumping and swimming. And they will really prove good for me.

Well, I am off now coz I need to swim and I will go walking later with Loi, who is six months pregnant. Corniche will be lovely because its not so hot these nights. And I should remember to bring my skipping rope. Ciao!

Vertigo

I recently went into the Cultural Foundation because it was such a boring night on the 15th of August. Although I had watched Connie & Carla at the flat on my own, my boredom was insatiable. So I went on my own to the Center and checked the movie. It was not shown on the usual theater house that I always go to, instead the local guy directed me to the 2nd floor and I asked another guard there who pointed me to the direction.

So I found it. It was an old theater with much smaller screen and actually blurry or hazy, like you know, old style TVs and old movies too. It was actually an old movie being shown that night. My calendar on my phone says "Vertigo" so I think that was the movie. There were only 6 people watching the movie. And it was only Dhs.5.00 for the fee. I think this is the one emntioned by Umesh (from my Orb Group) that it was the regular fee. Yes they should not charge more than that or they will get a m0uthful from the audience.

So I watched it. Despite my eyes resistance, it was almost hurting my eyes. My glasses werent much helpful, the screen needed changing and there is nothing more I can do. I would rather watch the movie than go to the flat again on my own. So I watched Vertigo.

It was a bit boring at first but it actually turned out to eb a good movie. But you know, I think most old movies like those are so dragging.... Or maybe it is just the 21st Century that makes us long for movies with actions, quicker stories, fast moves although complicated but you actually get into some activities in between.
