Bits of Kickshaws

Been a quiet week....

A colleague is going to propose to his girlfriend and I am an active participant in the major event of their lives. The ring will be placed in a crystal half-cut glass (with a pearl inside, but I would most likely prefer if the pearl was not there, against the "better" judgement of the guy, but heck, what do I know?) So we ended up with me proposing to make the pouch to put the crystal in. It will be a small type pouch so that she will think she is getting a bag or just to disguise the ring inside. In search of the perfect pouch, I stumbled into this bag site. And I stumbled into another site on baby sling. It will be a cool project for me.

Last night we went to the U.S. Embassy Chelsey(something like this spelling) party. Its a regular Ramadan Wednesday party at the U.S. Embassy. Marines host the party and I have a friend there. So I went at such an unfashionably late hour of eleven o'clock at night. Mostly everyone was leaving. I had to blame it all on the fasting thing. After breaking my fast I just sleep and the dreams take me away making me forget that I have to do treadmill and yoga by 8pm. Good. I will lose fat by sleeping.

Anyways, as I was saying, we were late for the party. I was invited to accompany a friend during the Marine Ball and I was looking for something to wear for that ocassion. Well. Probably any long black dress will do.

Today, I had to search for Labour Laws of Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and UAE. Well three of these were pretty easy but Oman is so difficult. Gave me a headache. Time to sleep now before I break my fast. If I can hold it that long today.
