Friendster UNBLOCKED!!!!!!!

Yesterday I was reading 7days newspaper and I saw the letters sent to the editor was filled with thanks to Etisalat for unblocking friendster. I opened my friendster account and whoa!!! Lo and behold!! I can access it now. It is such a pure delight and sheer excitement to see all my mountaineering friends there. I browsed each profile and looked at every picture of my old friends. It was such a beautiful time to be a part of the mountaineering world. The camaraderie was incomparable. Everything was such a wonderful experience. Lots of them now have kids, have married and are still active in mountaineering. I miss that. Maybe when I get the time I will try to go once more. City life sucks a lot sometimes. Like now, on a weekend, I am a bum. With few people who has the same penchants with me, its almost near to impossible to find people whom you can actually hang out with. So I am mostly resolved to sitting at home, darn, when I come to think of it, it really sucks. And I dont have red wine right now too. Eww... Such a bugger. Yey but its only 1 o'clock in the afternoon and Barot told me there is a race today in CDO. Samok oy!! Suya nuon ko. Its so hot outside, almost 42 maybe so I got few options, go to the mall (which is still close right now), hang here, browse the net, write crap, read crap, watch crap or something. Its a Friday. What do I do. Okay I got something better to do. Clean the flat, much better. After I finish browsing pictures on friendster. :-) It is such a lovely thing to reminisce really. Beautiful moments. I have no regrets, I just get bored on Fridays.

Oh okay, lets have a recap of yesterday then....

Being a Thursday yesterday, I was eager to go to work. I wasn't that late. It was a quiet day. Cristy was doing something and I wanted her to go with me to Next to check on the other remaining sale items and maybe we can still get some good stuff. She had tons of papers to file and label (luckily for me, my boss has told me before I would thank him one day for relieving me from the position I was in before, although sometimes I still get caught in between jobs from some people, its still a good deal actually, I should remind myself to thank him). So if I dont help her, then we would be late. But I was keen on going so I helped her. Boy her files are confusing, not because they are but because she doesn't actually read them. I used to browse all those solicitations and would get to know them fast, but that wasn't my aim at that time, so I just filed them and labeled them according to her labels, but that's work so I am boring myself now. Eventually, I told her if it wasn't supposed to be submitted today then it should be okay for Saturday. She said she didn't ask and she wasnt told. So we finally were able to go to Next.

I was so lucky to find some bargains at Next. There were 2 black scarves which were marked down from Aed.45.00 down to Aed.25.00. But when the cashier punched it in, it was actually marked down to Aed.10.00 and they were so beautiful!!! Check my shopping notes so you will see them. Cristy checked hers but it was still only Aed.45.00. Wow. Aint it my lucky day?

Then after scrounging Next with undies and scarves, we decided to go to Abu Dhabi Mall branch of Next coz maybe they have the gloves that I was looking for. I saw those gloves once and they were marked down to Aed.13.00. I regret not buying it at that time I saw it, now its back Aed.40.00 and it is not even the same one I liked. Anyways.

So in Abu Dhabi Mall, Cristy got a call. She needs to give the documents to the office boy so that it should be brought to Qatar by our MD. She had that anxious look on her face, so I told her, don't worry I will go back with you to the office. We called the office boy to pick us up from the mall so we could go back to the office and give him the documents (after Cristy has finished all the labels, her labels were wrong at that time). Don't blame me, I didn't print it. So we couldnt find anything nice at Next anyways, and we were really starving. She said she will take away salad. I didn't want to go to Pizzahut because it was only next to Cinnabon and once I smell those delicious aroma, I would be doomed to sit and eat some. So, against my better judgment, we took the escalator to take us to the third floor where my body's gloom is situated. But, then, in my peripheral vision, I saw a sign that says "further reductions", and it was Nayomi!!!! And so I dragged Cristy back to the first floor and told her, you have got to go with me to that shop. We were wandering, and guess what I found??? The bathrobe with a hood!!! It was the most beautiful thing I can touch. I took one, Cristy took one. And then I saw those beautiful pjs. They were like fleece... I had to take them. And so the card was swiped....

Leaving the shop, I was so ebullient on my bathrobe, and went on rambling about how nice Nayomi's stuff are (when they are on sale!). I never buy from them unless they are on sale. It would be the most ridiculous thing I will ever do. Cristy said, it was her first to have Nayomi's.

And so, there goes the Thursday story of the idle bard gone wild shopper.

I got two things to be thankful for, okay three, okay four.

One, Etisalat for unblocking friendster. Thank you so much!! I promise to keep my promise (I sent them an email promising to report every porn picture I see, I will keep that).

Two, HSBC for increasing the limit of my credit card :-)

Three, my job, for keeping me happy and for helping pay for my whims

and four, above everything else, I thank God Almighty for giving me such a good life to be happy living in.

Peace, love and humility to all.
