How to be Happy
Why is it such a struggle to be happy? How do we keep on being happy? What factors affect our daily lives that make us sullen, indifferent, restless, miserable? And how do we maintain being happy most of the time?
I tried different means, but I end up more sad sometimes. Does being happy rely in a relationship, on someone, on something? On things we achieve?
At times when I am down, I tend to just plummet into the abyss of hopelessness and it just affects everything around me. I try to put a net so that I will not cause others to be down but there seems to be an invisible hand that touches others that surround me to be sad as well. Misery do love company.
When my sadness is bearable, I try to assuage what I feel by thinking of the good things in my life, moments when I was utterly happy even for just a few seconds. Sometimes it works but other times this perturbing phases just seem to drag us down into more lamentable places.
Lift me up...
Maybe I will buy flowers today.
